    Yes, the tours are designed to offer meaningful and safe interactions with kangaroos and other native wildlife. Visitors get the chance to hand-feed kangaroos, meet friendly possums and observe a wide variety of birds and native species up close. One of the most popular and unique moments is the 'Calling of the Roos', where kangaroos return to the Sanctuary at Nina’s call. All interactions are conducted in an ethical and respectful environment where the animals are free-roaming and not forced into contact, ensuring safety and authenticity.

  • How do I get to the Sanctuary and what kind of vehicle do I need?

    Accessing the Sanctuary requires a bit of planning, as it's located off the main highway on an 8km stretch of dirt road. To ensure a safe and smooth drive, it’s recommended to use a vehicle with a ground clearance of at least 165mm—such as an SUV or 4WD. A higher clearance vehicle is strongly advised to avoid difficulty, especially after rain. Since the location is remote, it’s also important to book in advance and communicate clearly with the hosts.
